Watergate reporter demolishes Hillary’s career story

Drawing on a trove of private papers from Hillary Clinton’s best friend, the legendary Watergate journalist Carl Bernstein is to publish a hard-hitting and intimate portrait of the 2008 presidential candidate, which will reveal a number of “discrepancies” in her official story.

First of all – that there’s PLENTY of stuff out there to make a book go in this direction is not exactly shocking.

It’ll be sort of fun to watch the kerfluffle that this is sure to start – especially because Hil & Bill can’t claim that CARL BERNSTEIN of all people is a part of the VRWCâ„¢ that’s out to get them.

…Partial Freeway Collapse

The damage to highway overpasses in Oakland produced some views evocative of Salvador Dali’s art, with a roadway seemingly melted and draped flaccidly over another.

The threat of a nightmarish morning commute led many Bay Area residents to use public transportation Monday, one day after a fiery tanker crash caused a heavily trafficked section of freeway to collapse.

The elevated section of highway that carries motorists from the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge to a number of freeways was destroyed early Sunday when the heat of a burning gasoline tanker truck weakened part of one overpass, crumpling it onto another.

OK. So…a gasoline tanker crashed and burned (fortunately the driver got away with minor burns) and the heat led to the collapse of highway overpasses. This happened because the burning fuel raised the temperature of the overpasses structural steel (even inside of the concrete!) so much that it weakened and/or melted, allowing the collapse…sort of like what happened to the World Trade Towers UNPROTECTED structural supports after THEY were roasted by burning jet fuel!

Another nail in the rhetorical coffin of the 9-11 conspiracy moonbats like Rosie whatsherface, et al. Don’t worry about them though…this shouldn’t slow them down, since they’ve never been stopped by pesky reality before.

ChiCom Chems Adulterate Human Food Chain

Poisoned pet food now on the human dinner table

You just HAD to know that this was going to be the outcome of this situation.

“Tainted-gluten-fed-pork has hit the dinner plates of humans, according to www.denverpost.com. “California officials have revealed that the contamination got into the food chain. About 45 residents ate pork from hogs that consumed animal feed laced with melamine from China. Melamine is used to make plastics, but it also artificially boosts the protein level and thus the price of the glutens that go into food.” (denverpost.com, April 29, 2007).

As always, the gummint is looking out for us:

Even after Captain David Elder of the FDA said, “The combination of melamine and cyanuric acid is of concern to human and animal health,” the FDA is saying that the recall of thousands of hogs was not warranted. (Italics, canadafreepress.com).

“Nope, nothing going on here folks. Don’t be alarmed…sit back and watch American Idol some more. Everything is being taken care of.”

Yeah. Right. SURE it is.

Given the way authorities have handled the contaminated pet food outbreak to date, we should be worried, very worried.

As Ann Hahn, of Atlanta wrote to Canada Free Press (CFP), “Pet owners believe we should all be very, very concerned. Why? Because cyanuric acid is a hydrolysis product of melamine. Melamine in and of itself is all right as long as you don’t eat it and your body metabolizes it. And notwithstanding the fact that the wheat gluten imported by ChemNutra in the Menu Foods pet food recalled was “human grade”.” (Emphasis added.)

And the scary chain of events that got its start months ago doesn’t even end there. We know where the tainted-gluten-fed pork is. Ergo, we know too where the wheat gluten-tainted pet food went. It went into the pigs. The pigs went into the human food supply.

“In a joint statement, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) stressed, “We are not aware of any human illness that has occurred from the exposure to melamine or by its by-products.” They added that they have identified no illnesses in swine fed the contaminated feed.” (Forbes.com, April 29, 2007).

Meanwhile, we’re told “let’s just ignore the 800 lb. gorilla in the room”:

No statement from either party about why salvaged pet food known to be contaminated was fed to farm animals.

After tracing more of the ChiCom business connections, the piece concludes with this:

The contaminated pet food which made ill and even killed off an untold number of cats and dogs and was then fed as “salvaged” food to hogs–which some 45 people have eaten–is a cautionary tale whose end could bring disaster for the human populations of North America, Puerto Rico and South Africa.

THIS is the sort of progress that rejuvenates the Chief’s sometimes frazzled spirit of optimism!

This achievement has been described as “amazing” and “the biggest breakthrough in energy generation in decades”. It seems to indicate that no scientific hurdle stands in the way of nuclear fusion. Just 5-7 years of engineering and configuring about 60 next generation linear transformer drivers. Then refining the system for commercial use starting in 20 years or less. All the pieces are now ready and proven, we just need to put them together for commercial nuclear fusion. The Z-pinch system is also the basis of the minimag Orion space propulsion concept which enables speeds 50 times or more faster than current chemical rockets.

OPEC should read it and weep! YOU can read it and smile!

Iran Now in the Crosshairs (A good thing, too!)

Tehran insider tells of US black ops

Very interesting story in Asia Times online.

A former Iranian ambassador and Islamic Republic insider has provided intriguing details to Asia Times Online about US covert operations inside Iran aimed at destabilizing the country and toppling the regime – or preparing for an American attack.

Something else seems to be happening in conjunction with this:

“The Iranian government knows and is aware of such infiltration. It means that the Iranian government has identified them [the covert operatives] but for some reason does not want to show [this],” said the former diplomat on condition of anonymity.

Speaking in Tehran, the ex-Foreign Ministry official said the agents being used by the US “were originally Iranians and not Americans” possibly recruited in the United States or through US embassies in Dubai and Ankara. He also warned that such actions will engender “some reactions”.

…”some reactions”? Hmmmm. Like maybe the current Iranian government WANTS us to go after them…all the more to speed their stated intention to foment chaos to trigger the return of the Mahdi and their version of the apocalypse, of course with Islam reigning triumphant. THAT fits Ahm-mad-on-a-jihad Amadinejad and the REAL big dog over there: Ayatollah Khameini.

There’s quite a bit more in this piece…with stuff from the NY Slimes Seymour Hirsch who, true to form is apparently looking to undermine the effort.

Help from the Government?

RECEIVED FROM AN E-MAIL CORRESPONDENT:

A Montana cowboy was over-seeng his herd in a remote mountainous pasture, when suddenly a brand-new BMW advanced out of a dust cloud towards him. The driver, a young man in a Brioni suit, Gucci shoes, Ray Ban sunglasses and YSL tie, leans out the window and asks the cowboy, “If I tell you exactly how many cows and calves you have in your herd, will you give me a calf?”

The cowboy looks at the man, obviously a yuppie, then looks at his eacefully grazing herd and calmly answers, “Sure, Why not?”
The yuppie parks his car, whips out his Dell notebook computer, connects it to his Singular RAZR-V3 cell phone, and surfs to a NASA page on the Internet, where he calls up a GPS satellite navigation system to get an exact fix on his location which he then feeds to another NASA satellite that cans the area in an ultra-high-resolution photo.

The young man then opens the digital photo in Adobe Photoshop and exports it to an image processing facility in Hamburg, Germany. Within seconds, he receives an email on his Palm Pilot that the image has been processed and he data stored.

He then accesses a MS-SQL database through an ODBC connected Excel Spreadsheet with email on his Blackberry and, after a few minutes, receives response.

Finally, he prints out a full-color, 3-page report on his miniaturized HP LaserJet printer and finally turns to the cowboy and says, “You have exactly 1,586 cows and calves.”

“That’s right. Well, I guess you can take one of my calves,” says the cowboy.

He watches the young man select one of the animals and looks on amused as he young man stuffs it into the trunk of his car.

Then the cowboy says to the young man, “Hey, if I can tell you exactly what your business is, will you give me back my calf?”

The young man thinks about it for a second and then says, “Okay, why not?”

“You’re a Congressman for the U.S. Government,” says the cowboy.

“Wow! That’s correct,” says the yuppie, “but how did you guess that?”

“No guessing required.” answered the cowboy. “You showed up here even though nobody called you; you want to get paid for an answer I already knew, to a question I never asked. You tried to show me how much smarter than me you are; and you don’t know a thing about cows…this is a herd of sheep.

Now give me back my dog.”

Senate OKs deadline in war funding

The Democrat-led Senate yesterday gave final approval to an emergency war-funding bill that sets troop withdrawal deadlines for Iraq, a measure that neither congressional chamber passed with enough votes to override President Bush’s promised veto.

Donk Sen. Neville Chamberlain Reid and Queen Nancy of SanFran have led their party firmly into the realm of appeasement and surrender “by a date certain”.

The phrase “…adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort.” covers it.

View from an Alternative Reality

Border chief defended on ‘no confidence’

Here is a clear case for someone looking at the noonday sun and proclaiming it to be midnight! This moves the Border Patrol management into some other universe than the one that actually exists these days on the border.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection Commissioner W. Ralph Basham says a “no-confidence” vote against Border Patrol Chief David V. Aguilar by leaders of the agency’s rank and file is “derisive, detrimental and blatantly unfair” and wants to meet with union leaders to tell them the chief is the right man for the job.

Right. Like his words are going to fix everything up after years of counter-productive management filtering down from the higher managers, like maybe the Customs and Border Protection Commissioner. My guess is that his credibility will be at least zero, if not moving into the domain of negative numbers.

“From my personal experience, I do not believe the rank-and-file agents have lost confidence in this chief,” Mr. Basham said.

Some people still believe the earth is flat, that we never went to the moon, and that 9-11 was a (U.S.) government plot too…but that doesn’t mean their beliefs have a basis in reality! Besides, having worked for the Feds for a long time, the Chief has observed that higher management rarely has any SERIOUS personal interaction with the people actually doing the job…most of such “contact” is generally carefully controlled, sort of on the order of a Potemkin Village type show.

Mr. Basham said. “I would very much like for the union to come to the table, have a dialogue at this time of great challenge and great opportunity. I’m extending my personal invitation and laying my personal reputation on the line.”

Excuse me? Based on the state of the border, and Border Patrol these day, the Chief has to wonder just WHAT personal reputation is there to lose anymore? I mean, when border agents are thrown to the wolves, prosecuted, and imprisoned for doing their jobs, all on Basham’s watch, his personal (professional) reputation is pretty much D.O.A. at this point.

Not to fear, the effort to blow smoke up their rectal orifice doesn’t impress the Union:

But National Border Patrol Council President T.J. Bonner yesterday called Mr. Basham “a political hack who blindly supports the president’s ill-conceived immigration agenda without regard for the damage it does to the mission of the agency and the security of our borders.”

Well spoken! The Chief heartily concurs!

Mr. Bonner said the council leadership, which represents all 11,000 non-supervisory Border Patrol agents, is willing to talk with Mr. Basham, but has “serious doubts” about his sincerity. “He appears to be far more concerned about the public perception of the bureau’s leadership than the underlying problems that led to the vote of no confidence,” he said.

Shocking! Such a thing in OUR government!

The rest of the piece has more pot-shotting between the managers and the union.

As far as the Chief is concerned, the Biblical test tells one what they need to know about the situation: …”by their fruits ye shall know them.” The border is broken.  ’nuff said.

Bombshell Cripples Case Against Haditha Marines

This whole has been a travesty of injustice.

The stunning announcement that all charges are being dropped against Sgt. Sanick P. Dela Cruz, formerly accused of murder in the Haditha incident where 24 Iraqis were killed during an insurgent ambush against the Marines, is indication that the prosecutors have a very weak case against all the defendants, lawyers for the some of the accused say.

NewsMax goes on to report more about the apparent legal collapse of the case against the Marines in this unfortunate series of events.

Meanwhile, and directly stimulated and related to this, is a report on the American Thinker site detailing not only the legal skullduggery, but the actual details of the ACTUAL incident as now known:

What Was Cho’s REAL Motive? Part 2

Was VA Tech Massacre A Terrorist Attack?

Picked up the following from a site called Christian Worldview Network. First, some background on the sourcing:

The following is a letter from a Rabbi in Virginia. Several other sources have confirmed aspects of this story. It truly appears the mainstream media is ignoring what looks like what was a terrorist attack. Officials need to release the audio and/or transcripts of the other videos made by this terrorist.

The letter, which is worth reading in itself includes this heavy-duty nugget:

I also spoke this morning…with a peace officer here in Virginia who had access to and has read some of the transcripts of the other ten videos that are not being shown on the news. The shooter (Cho) was quoting verses from the Koran, and had Ishmael written on his arm and as his return address on the package sent to NBC. It appears that he did not randomly pick his targets but rather chose classes that had high concentrations of Christians and Jews in them-he was targeting Christians and Jews!!!!!

This may never come out in the media and some may tend to disregard this but my source is a solid believer and a trustworthy officer who has personally read some of the transcripts. What adds to this is that the press is not mentioning that a very high percentage of the victims were believers.

OK. The whitewash can is open, and the brushes are out. Anything but admit that we just might have a problem with internal Muslim terrorism!

…an interesting take on the Don Imus affair

Commentary on a David Brooks spiel from Meet the Press reported on Samizdata:

…shock-jock popularity is not about racism. It is about cruelty. Institutionalized culturally based cruelty. Indiscriminate cruelty for its own sake.

Brooks also points out that Imus was very heavily watched and listened to by the power elite. After an appearance on Imus’ show he, Brooks, received a remarkable amount of feedback from the power elite that make made up a disproportionate part of Imus’ audience. So now I ask, what does this say about the souls of those who demand the power and authority to be our masters? What does it mean that the powerful should be so enamoured of deliberate and systematic cruelty that they listen to it for entertainment?

What does it say indeed? Nothing very positive!

Rosie O’Donnell is leaving “The View.” ABC has been unable to come to a contractual agreement with “The View” co-host. As a result, her duties on the show will come to an end mid-June.

That being said, anything that lessens the possibility of encountering the above named subject on the screen has GOT to be an improvement!

The Chief finds that paying close attention to the mouthings of Nevada Donk Senator Dusty Harry Reid is sort of like swallowing ipecac – the guaranteed result is violent nausea. Nevertheless, it’s worth keeping track every so often of just how feckless his pronouncements are.

This OpEd from the DC Times does a fairly good job of summarizing (and thus lowering the sheer level of nausea) his recent spoutings. It sure doesn’t get any better with time, unfortunately.

My previous evaluation still holds: Copperhead-in-Chief of the Senate, (See my Jargonology page for this usage.) and the most feckless of all feckless weasels. He even makes the unlamented SD Donk Sen. Daschle look like a pillar of rationality…something the Chief formerly would have considered to be impossible.

N. Korea making nukes, will test again, general says

Like the Chief said in an earlier posting when the administration made a ballyhooed announcement of the resumption of talks with the NorKs – We’ve been rope-a-doped again. but at least the generals know it. Now, if someone in Congress would just pay attention….

North Korea is continuing to develop nuclear weapons and will conduct additional underground blasts aimed at regional “intimidation,” the commander of U.S. forces in South Korea said yesterday. “Unless the six-party talks process prevails, we expect North Korea to continue nuclear weapons research and development to perpetuate its strategy of intimidation,” Army Gen. Burwell B. Bell told the Senate Armed Services Committee.

North Korea is continuing to produce plutonium from a reactor at Yongbyon and now has produced up to 110 pounds of the radioactive material, enough for several weapons, Gen. Bell said.

An ugly situation isn’t getting any prettier.

What Was Cho’s REAL Motive?

Virginia Tech Slaughter Raises Many Questions

Questions about the VT shootings?  You bet!

The Chief has posted on this previously here and here , and this summary piece relates the current state of knowledge about Cho to other incidents where an Islamist connection was ignored and/or downplayed.

In addition to anything noted anywhere else is the matter of Cho’s roomate.  NOT the “suite mate” who has been seen all over the TV…but the actual ROOM-mate, whose name was accidently(?) shown listed on a door tag with Seung Hui as being “Joseph”.  What was/is HIS background?  Could this be an Islamic contact for Cho?  Who knows? (Certainly no one who’s been following the media!)

One MIGHT come to the conclusion that the MSM is working hard to downplay any Islamofascist terrorism in the US at all costs.  If they DIDN’t, people just MIGHT begin to get aroused about the clear and present danger, and demand a more effective and expanded pursuit of Islamofascism…like that of Iran, Libya, Sudan, Pakistan, etc.

The trouble with that is that it would reinforce the administration’s policies and actions to stop the terrs whereever they stand…and they couldn”t allow that!

This is really good – it doesn’t get any more real than this posting from within a few hours of when I make this posting!

Yeah and I got a quote for that douche harry reid. These families need us here. obviously he has never been in iraq. or at least the area worth seeing, the parts where insurgency is rampant and the buildings are blown to pieces. We need to stay here and help rebuild. If Iraq didn’t want us here then why do we have IP’s voluntering everyday to rebuild their cities. and working directly with us too. same with the IA’s. It sucks that Iraqi’s have more patriotism for a country that has turned to complete shit. More than the people in America who drink Starbucks everyday. We could leave this place and say we are sorry to the terrorists. and then we could wait for 3,000 more American civilians to die before we say “Hey thats not nice” again, and the sad thing is after we WIN this war people like him will say he was there for us the whole time.

This Marine couldn’t have said it any better as far as the Copperhead Senator Reid is concerned.

Islamoterrs Gearing Up for Big One?

Al-Qaeda ‘planning big British attack’

AL-QAEDA leaders in Iraq are planning the first “large-scale” terrorist attacks on Britain and other western targets with the help of supporters in Iran, according to a leaked intelligence report. Spy chiefs warn that one operative had said he was planning an attack on “a par with Hiroshima and Nagasaki” in an attempt to “shake the Roman throne”, a reference to the West.

A couple of other aspects of this in the article from the London Times are especially interesting. Firstly, there is a strong involvement of the Shiite Iranians with mostly Sunni al Qaeda. OK – there have been many historical cases of strange bedfellows in war – anyone remember Roosevelt, Churchill, and Stalin? THe other thing is, that if there si enough intel to get this report out, one hopes there is enough to be able to interrupt the plans of the terrs.

Student Government Asks Reporters to Leave by Monday

Virginia Tech students are showing more good judgment and sense than much of the media coverage of last week’s shooting, and have asked the MSM to pack up and get out of Dodge…well, Blacksburg.

You’ve seen the news coverage from Blacksburg, complete with prominent network anchors reporting from the scene. And now, the student government at Virginia Tech is asking for all of that to end. It’s calling on hundreds of reporters to leave campus by Monday morning, when students are supposed to return to classes. A spokeswoman for the student government says the campus appreciates the reporting on the story, but that students are ready to move forward.

Good for them!

Serbian War pt. II?

The Inconvenient Serbs

One of the Chief’s favorite commentators is always Spengler, found in the Asia Times.

This piece reminds us of the still simmering and unsettled situation in the Balkans between Serbia and Kosovo. It looks like the Serbs (and the Russians) may well have reached the point of “enough is enough”…and that the UNO proposed Kosovo independence with no recognition of Serbian rights will prove to ultimately be a no-go deal.

There is an alternative proposal for partition of Kosovo, with relatively small areas of Serb occupancy being attached to Serbia, with the Moslem majority doing what they want with the rest. The UNOcrats and our own State Department Foggy Bottom Boys aren’t buying into it, while the Russians do.

A UN veto by Russia could lead to a unilateral Ismalmic declaration of Kosovan independence with the likely outcome an openly Orthodox Christian vs. Moslem war in Europe. Maybe that would get some Euro reason starting regarding their tendency towards appeasement, under the principle stated by Samuel Johnson:

Depend upon it sir, when a man knows he is to be hanged in a fortnight, it concentrates the mind wonderfully.

Connections of Qaddafi, Hillary, Boxer, and Cho?

The Followers of ISMAIL

This is a fairly detailed article on the current state of Ismaili Islam. Huh? What’s THAT? Not exactly on your radar screen these days? Maybe it should be.

First some background:

In recent weeks we have seen resurgence in the followers of the Ismaili sect of Shia Islam. Libyan leader Mu’ammar Qaddafi called, in a speech in Niger to Tuareg tribal leaders, for the establishment of a second Shi’ite Fatimid state in North Africa, after the model of the 10th-13th century empire that ruled North Africa, Egypt, and parts of the Fertile Crescent. It is worthwhile to review some of the background and origins of this sect and also to see how it may be impacting current events. The Ismailis are the followers of the seventh caliph Ismail and are know as seveners vs. the followers of the twelfth Imam or twelvers as Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. The Ismaili Students’ Association operates on many campuses.

Next the piece goes into a fairly detailed untangling of the history involved in Ismaili Islam. Relevant today? The Chief thinks so, but check it out for yourself.

In additon to the historical background of the Ismailis, the writer points out more possible inspiration if not actual connection with Cho Seung Hi…hitting on some aspects that have been totally ignored (due to lack of knowledge more than suppression) in the media.

As if that is not enough, there is a real involvement of the L.A. Ismailis with fundraising for both Hillary and Sen. Boxer (Donk- CA), which ultimately proved to be illegal, with the chief Ismaili fund raiser on the lam out of the country at this time, but still actively sought by the FBI.

By 2004, Jinnah had cemented his party ties. He and his family, who had moved to Bel-Air, personally contributed $122,000 to Democratic candidates and causes that year alone. “I’m just recalling how close I’ve been with the Clinton family and those nights, movies, dinners, lunches in the White House,” he said in unsteady English.

“At about the same time, the Justice Department began investigating allegations that Jinnah’s fundraising on behalf of Clinton and others was illegal. He would later be charged with violating federal law by reimbursing employees and associates for contributions made in their names to Clinton’s HillPac and the Friends of Barbara Boxer campaign. On March 31, 2007, Libyan leader Mu’ammar Qaddafi called, in a speech in Niger to Tuareg tribal leaders, for the establishment of a second Shi’ite Fatimid state in North Africa, after the model of the 10th-13th century empire that ruled North Africa, Egypt, and parts of the Fertile Crescent. In his speech, Qaddafi denounced the division of Muslims into Sunni and Shi’ite as a colonialist plot, and rebuked the Arab League members for “hating Iran” according to the article In Overture to Iran, Qaddafi Declares North Africa Shi’ite and Calls for Establishment of New Fatimid State by MEMRI Special Dispatch Series — No 1535 of April 6, 2007.

Did you catch that? Even the Iranians haven’t spoken in these terms. He is actually saying that his political ambition is to return to the 1100-1300 AD condition!!!!

There is also a further treatment of the history and religious underpinnings of the Fatimid Caliphate…and it ain’t a pretty picture sports fans. Qaddafi et al, are every bit a dangerous to the US and the west as are the Iranian Ayotollahs and their mouthpiece Ahmadinejad.

Pet food is bad enough…this is getting even worse. No progress is being made in figuring out exactly what’s going on. How Come? Read on:

ongoing investigation into the pet food scandal: “U.S. senator Dick
Durbin (D-IL) and Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (D-CT) today met with U.S.
Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Commissioner, Andrew von
EschenbachÉ” “In the meeting, Durbin and DeLauro learned that the Chinese
government has blocked requests from the FDA to send personnel to China
to inspect the facilities suspected of producing the contaminated
products.” (Emphasis added.)

Euros: “Free Speech? We don’t need no free speech!”

Bloggers say EU law will end free speech

British bloggers said yesterday that free speech on the internet is under threat from draconian new laws, which could see them jailed for up to three years….The measures are contained in the European Union’s Racism and Xenophobia Directive and could hit controversial European bloggers, even if their websites are hosted in America.

Chris Mounsey, the 29 year old behind The Devil’s Kitchen blog, said: “There is potential for this to have worldwide application. Free speech is at the centre of blogging. Part of the reason bloggers can tell the truth is because it is difficult to pin them down. This law tries to do it.”

The legislation goes beyond German or Austrian-style bans on denial of the Holocaust to cover those people who question the official history of recent conflicts in Africa and the Balkans.

One might be tempted to think that the Euros can go to hell in their own handcart if that’s what they want to do…but with US Supreme Court justices actually citing foriegn precedents for consideration in their cases…it could well concern all of us, especially if a LibDonk President gets to appoint more of that ilk to the court.

Hillary Goes Down! (In polls)

HILLARY’S POPULARITY RATINGS GO NEGATIVE

Oh gosh!

A new national poll shows Hillary Rodham Clinton’s favorable ratings sinking like a stone, and her negatives soaring – a terrifying trend for a campaign desperately trying to convince voters she’s not too polarizing to be president.

The new USA Today/Gallup survey shows Clinton’s favorability rating shrunken to 45 percent – down 9 points from a similar poll taken last month, and a 13-point drop from a survey taken shortly after she announced her White House bid.

More troubling for her White House hopes, her unfavorable ratings have climbed 12 points since she entered the race, and now stand at 52 percent – meaning more Americans now dislike her than like her.

Ismail Ax: The Shooter Was Another ‘Son of Sacrifice”

This post from Tech Central Station is about the best analysis of the V-Tech shooter’s adoption of the Ismail Ax identity(?). For what it’s worth, this pretty much about that the Chief had concluded for himself.

First it was Johnny Muhammad, now it was Cho Sueng Hui aka Ismail Ax. Precisely how many mass shooters have to turn out to have adopted Muslim names before we get it? Islam has become the tribe of choice of those who hate American society. I’m not talking about people who grew up as Muslims, confident and secure in their faith, good fathers, sons and neighbors. I’m talking about the angry, malignant, narcissist loners who want to reject their community utterly, to throw off their ‘slave name’ and represent the downtrodden of the earth by shooting their friends and neighbors.

This morning I read that the Virginia Tech shooter died with the name Ismail Ax written in red ink on his arm. The mainstream press doesn’t seem to have a clue as to what this might mean. To quote Indiana Jones, “Didn’t any of you guys go to Sunday School?”

This is worth a look.
